Thanks to everyone in class this morning, as we started a new series on the Book of Acts. Acts chronicles the beginning of the Christian church, and this morning we touched on "The Birth of the Church": Christ's final instructions to the apostles, His ascension, and the miracle at Pentecost. This Sunday Lee Greer will lead us in Part 2, "The Apostles of the Church". Read Acts 3:1 - 5:42 to prepare.
If you would like to lead the class in one of the chapters of this study, note the openings on the list to the right and let us know. We'll circulate a paper in class on Sunday.
ALSO, we're going to do "Tables of Eight" again. That's where four couples are chosen at random to dine together, with each couple getting an opportunity to host. It's a great way to visit with and get to know your fellow classmates, while engaging in that most time-honored of Families of Faith traditions - EATING! We'll be signing up willing participants Sunday. If you'd like to participate, but you know you won't be attending class Sunday, let us know and we'll put your name in the kitty.
