Thanks to everyone who came to class this morning. Lee Greer did a terrific job of leading us in our study on The Book of Acts - Chapter 2, "The Apostles of the Church". It zeroed in on the apostles getting to work on spreading this new church called Christianity; but Lee's take was that of the commitment required to give your life over to Jesus Christ. Great job. We STILL don't have a teacher for next week. Feel free to volunteer, though. Call us and we'll let the class know to await your brilliance. Meanwhile, to prepare for Chapter 3, "The Deacons of the Church", read Acts 6:1 - 8:3.
Also, next Sunday (8/21) we will set our Tables of Eight. That's where we set up groups of 4 couples who will have dinner together at each couple's home. That's 4 chances to get to know your classmates better...while eating. Mmmm.
