If you were in class this morning, you were part of a great discussion on the 8th chapter of the book of Acts led by Jim Sandridge in "The Gospel Begins to Spread Beyond Jerusalem". The discussion involved the role of baptism in salvation, and the tendency to try to "buy" one's way toward salvation. And it was great to see some familiar faces that we've missed lately. This next Sunday it appears that there will be no class in observance of the Labor Day weekend. However, Sunday September 11 Phil Goodrich will lead us in the chapter I've been waiting for; "The Conversion of Saul". Read up on Acts 9:1-31 so you will be prepared. Lucky for some of us, we have two weeks to read 31 verses.
