Sunday December 4, 2011

Thanks to everyone who came to class this morning. Jim Sandridge did a great job of helping us understand the meaning of "grace" - that which we get from God that we do not deserve - from Chapter 4 in our series on the Book of Romans, "Grace Through One Man". This Sunday, Dana Chandler will lead us in Chapter 4, "Dead And Alive". Kindly read Romans 6:1-23 so you a) will be able to keep up, and b) won't get your knuckles rapped when you don't know the answer to Dana's question.

We are still in need of a few folks to volunteer to teach the class. Please check the teaching list below right, pick a date you can teach, and contact either Robin or Stubie.

Baby's first Christmas is FOF's annual Christmas project. If you can sit at the table in the Connection Center and adopt out some of the families in need, contact Keith Long. I believe the class will be adopting a family, but if you wish to adopt a family above and beyond the class' family, contact the person at the table on Sunday and adopt away. And thanks.

The FOF Christmas Party will be Saturday December 17 at the Webbs' house, from 7:00 until sometime the following Monday. (I should probably check on that.) Bring an appetizer or dessert. For example, I believe Phil Goodrich said his favorite appetizer is Grilled Lobster and NY Strip Bearnaise...in case you need an idea. For the rest of us, Beer Nuts should be okay.

Until next we meet, remember that we're all loved and blessed and covered in God's grace through Jesus Christ.

Stubie...
