Sunday Jan. 10, 2010

Thanks to Dana for leading us in today's lesson on the Gospel of Mark. We saw that with the revealing of Jesus' power and authority came derision and hatred from those who had claimed authority up until that point. However, we also saw the willing giving of faith in Jesus and his teachings as he became more familiar to the populace; even though his family thought he was nuts.

Next week, Jim Sandridge will lead the lesson on "Jesus, the Storyteller". Read Mark 4:1-34 this week. Jim typifies the type of brave souls needed to lead us each Sunday morning. We are looking for a few good members to lead us through the rest of the series on the Gospel of Mark, so please sign up. Available Sundays are on the right hand side of the page. Oh sure, you may have to scroll down a little to find it, but the strength and daring required to scroll is just the kind of bravado we seek. So, if ye do not be people of courage, sally forth not in this direction...for danger awaits you with great big teeth.

Just sign up, okay?

Until then...uh...bye.

Stubie...uh...Doak...
