Thanks to everyone who attended class this morning. Lesson Two from the Book of Romans touched on Chapter One. Special thanks to Ruth Ann for teach...oh wait. Ruth Ann was sick this morning. So, thanks to David for tea...oh wait. Well, we managed to scrape by with God's help and lots of contribution from the class. Get well, Ruth Ann. Lynn will be teaching next Sunday, so come prepared or get the ruler across the knuckles.
Welcome back Chip and Tye (3rd visit), George Gump (3rd), Randy and Leandra (2nd), and welcome first-timers Ellen (no not THAT Ellen, a different Ellen) and Susan. If the rest of the class returns each Sunday and our visitors become class members - we'll either have to do without tables and circle the chairs around the room, OR we'll have to knock out a wall. All who favor the former idea raise your hand. Motions passes.
The church golf tournament will be held at Bridlewood on October 18. The cost is $100 per player, and it benefits Denton County Friends and Family. Contact Lee Greer if you'd like to play.
Robin Doak and Lisa Webb will be participating in the "Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure". This annual 5k run/walk takes place at Northpark in Dallas, and makes for a terrific morning. The team is called "Starhaven Superstars", and we'd like a big crowd. Contact Robin or Lisa for details in joining the team.
