To everyone that came to class this morning, you know the joy of hearing Keith Long lead the class. Today we finished Week 2 of the Max Lucado study; "Outlive Your Life". Lora Bender will lead us this Sunday (2/19), so brush up on the Week 3 materials in your study guide.

Over the past few weeks we've been discussing the ministry at First Methodist Lewsiville, and their assistance to homelss teens. We as a class are going to donate gift cards - from Sonic and/or WalMart - to the ministry. They use them for occasional meals and for supplies and basics. (e.g. when a kid shows up with just one shoe, the WalMart card would be used to buy that kid a pair of shoes.) Lora Bender would like to have them collected by Sunday March 4 so she can take over that week. If you feel compelled to get your gift cards earlier than that, I don't think Lora would object to you bringing them to any class between now and March 4.

ALSO; we're looking for volunteers to lead the class during this Max Lucado study. But up to this point, we've had to solicit teachers each Sunday at the end of class. There are only 3 classes remaining that we don't have leaders for. If you feel compelled to lead, please let us know and we'll put your name on the calendar.
