Sunday January 8, 2012

The first Families of Faith class of 2012 was magnificent, thanks to Anne Shannon's sure guidance in "In The Spirit" from our study of the Book of Romans. George Gump will lead us this Sunday in "Israel and God's Eternal Plan".

Speaking of leaders; we sent the the book around to get volunteers to lead the final 3 chapters...and no one signed up. So check the schedule below right, pick an open date, and sign up to lead the class. At the very least, think of it as community service. For what? That's totally up to you.

Kim Beck stopped by to tell us about the upcoming Epiphany at the Gainesville Boys Home, and she brought with her one of the recent releases, Saxon. Saxon spoke to the class about how much the caring of people on the outside mean to many of the guys in there. Kim is looking for people to go up to the unit and help out with Epiphany. Kim's email is kimbeck@earthlink.net.

We learned of Lou and Tracy Costello's son Jameson's testicular cancer. Jameson is 12, and he'll be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning. Keep the prayers rolling, and the Costello's said they'll keep us up on Jameson's condition.

Until we next meet, remember that we're all loved and blessed.

Stubie...
