Thanks to Lynn Ross, we had a great lesson about Paul's two years in prison. One hour is just not enough time to explore all the juicy details, but at least we got to see how Paul used his circumstances to further the cause of Christ. Personally, I enjoyed this lesson most so far in the study of Acts since it wasn't just a history study, but included plenty of "meat" for life application. So what circumstances are there in your life that you can use to share the cause of Christ? Are you prepared for the times when those circumstances will arise? Hmmmmmm. Food for thought!
Speaking of food, next Sunday, October 30th from 4:00-6:30 is the Fall Festival that includes a Chili Cook-Off in the Family Life Center. Our class is entered & I'm trying to get more details. But if you'd like to participate, please put it on your calendar & come to class next week with some pocket change to contribute toward the purchase of ingredients. Matt Michel plans to be cooking up some Hallow-rific chili that afternoon. I promise that spiders, worms, cobwebs & shots of Vampire blood will be completely optional toppings if you're not "IN" to that sort of thing...Bwa-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaa!
Until then, have a blessed week!!
