Thanks to everyone who attended class this morning. We had two new couples visiting with us, and we started a new series; "The Restoration of a Sinner: David's Heart Revealed". Lesson One went well (I thought, anyway) as we learned that David's ascension to the throne was not an easy road.
Lee Greer will lead us next Sunday with Lesson Two. The lesson itself is based on 2 Samuel 7, but it would be a good idea to also read chapters 5 & 6 to fill in any blanks from Lesson One. ALSO, pre-read the definitions in the lesson so we can have more scripture and discussion time.
How's THIS for a social gathering? Robin's band, "Everlife", will be appearing at The Aardvark in Fort Worth (just off the TCU campus) Friday April 23. The Aardvark is a bar that sells barbecue. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 9. Admission is $7 over 21, $10 under 21. In fact, let's try to get together for dinner before the show. More to come.
The next two Fridays are "Amigos Days", where men gather to fix up a house in South Dallas for someone who can neither fix nor afford to have it fixed. Information can be found on the church website.
